Watch Our Video
Hello! We are Steven and Heather and we live in beautiful Texas. We are a loving, kind, supportive couple who enjoys traveling, going on outdoor adventures with our dogs, movie nights, and spending quality time with our family and friends. We are excited to become first-time parents through the joy of adoption and share our lives with your child. We look forward to meeting you and providing you with any encouragement, kindness, and love you need. We would also love to hear about your hopes and dreams for your child!
We met online and, for two weeks, we communicated only by text; it was the most effortless and enjoyable time getting to know each other. We were laughing nearly non-stop and quickly found that we had a lot in common. Six years later we have now been married for four years! We enjoy traveling, especially to our home states of Idaho, Colorado, and around Texas. We also love to go on outdoor adventures with our dogs Aisa and Sadie, attend concerts, go to cultural festivals, watch movies, and entertaining family and friends at our home. We love spending time together!
After fertility issues, we felt called to grow our family through adoption. We are excited to share our love, home, and lives with our child. We are excited to watch them grow, experience important milestones, and see life through their eyes. We look forward to exploring the outdoors, sharing our love for sports and travel!
My love, Steven
Steven is truly a loving, caring, and thoughtful man. He is patient and family-centered, sensitive and kind-hearted. Steven is dedicated to taking care of our family and our home. I know we can count on him for helping our lives run smoothly.
During his free time, Steven enjoys playing tennis and video games, watching movies, solving sudoku puzzles, and taking our dogs on long walks. Steven is very close to his father and brother James; there is not a day that goes by they do not talk on the phone or while gaming.
Steven will be a wonderful loving father to your child! He is excited to share his love for life and sports. He is looking forward to reading bedtime stories, watching movies, playing games, and introducing them to tennis and soccer.
My lovely wife, Heather
Heather is one of the most loving and caring people I’ve ever met. She loves teaching, coaching, and helping her students in the classroom, on the court, and on the soccer field. I have seen firsthand how much her students and athletes love her (giving her hugs, high fives, and thoughtful gifts).
When not teaching or coaching, Heather enjoys spending her free time reading, coloring, painting, working on puzzles, playing games, gardening, and traveling to visit family and friends. She is wonderful with kids and loves spending time with our niece and nephews and enjoys playing board games with them, reading to them, baking cookies, and playing with them at our pool. Heather also enjoys conversing and entertaining, which I know will carry over into being a mom. Heather's already excited to plan our child's birthday parties. She'll be an absolutely amazing mom! She is excited to teach our child to love and follow God, the joys of reading, how to bake, grow a garden, and play volleyball and lacrosse.
We are both blessed to come from loving, supportive families. Heather is very close to her mother and siblings. They speak frequently and Heather recently helped her brother buy a new home and we are currently helping her mom and step-father as they build their new home in Texas. She has five nephews and a niece and they love coming for visits! Her family enjoys vacationing together, visiting with extended family around the country, and celebrating holidays together.
Steven’s family is a loving, close-knit family who enjoys spending time together. Steven’s parents have been married for 45 years and are an amazing example of patience, unconditional love, and compromise. Steven is close to his brother and they talk daily. We visit them as often as possible and enjoy spending the summers and holidays in Idaho with them and at the family condo.
Our Home in Texas
Our family home is a calm and peaceful 3 bedroom 2 bath home in a quiet, gated community with a swimming pool, playground, and highly rated K-12 schools. Our neighbors are friendly and family-oriented, with many children who love to play outside with each other. We are looking forward to including our child when we attend community gatherings such as movies in the park, game nights, decorating contests, and Halloween and Christmas parades. We have a fenced-in yard that is perfect for playing games and tossing a ball around. We have two bedrooms ready to be decorated, furnished, and filled with toys for our child. We are a short drive to three major cities, numerous lakes and rivers, and the lovely gulf coast.
We promise that your child will be raised in a supportive home filled with love, kindness, compassion, and understanding. We will share with our child their story and will always speak of you with respect and love. Our child will receive encouragement and every opportunity to pursue all their hopes and dreams. They will be raised in a loving Christian home where we will celebrate birthdays, holidays, and accomplishments, go on family adventures, eat dinner as a family, attend Sunday services and grow as a family in Christ.

More About Our Family
Fun Facts About Us
• Heather loves adventure! She has dived off of cliffs into the ocean and rivers, has ridden a bicycle down the side of a volcano, and SCUBA diving in lakes and the pacific ocean. She has traveled to Mexico, Canada, and Europe with friends and has moved to three different states on her own. Heather does have limits; as she will not try anything that involves falling from the sky.
• Steven once did a backflip off of a bridge into a river. He enjoys Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga and has attended many of their concerts, where he got to do a meet-and-greet with both artists. If there is a T. Swift or Gaga concert, Steven would totally travel or go alone to see them perform!
Our faith in the holy trinity is at the center of our relationship with God. We enjoy studying the books of the bible with our church family. The church we attend is very welcoming to people of all backgrounds and personal struggles; this kind, loving, and accepting stance is very important to us. At our core, we believe that Jesus changes everything, and he starts with us!
Our Musical Interest
Steven enjoys classic rock and soft pop. His top three artists are The Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga. Heather enjoys many music genres, such as classic rock, country, Christian rock, and alternative. A few of her favorite artists are Luke Bryan, U2, Van Halen, and Journey.
We have two dogs and a cat who are spoiled each and every day. Aisa is our gentle and sensitive German Shepherd. We refer to her as our “Nana” dog from Peter Pan. Our Labrador is Sadie, and she is full of life and thinks she is a much smaller dog than she is. Our furball is Nikko the cat and he is an independent purring machine.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about us! We are grateful to have the opportunity to build our family through the gift of adoption. We look forward to meeting and building a relationship with you and would like to share our child’s life and experiences through letters, pictures, and visits, as you prefer and are comfortable with. You are in our prayers.
With much love and admiration,
Heather and Steven
