A Letter from Brian & MaryAnne
We appreciate and thank you for taking the time to get to know us. Before we were even married, we knew we always wanted to have children. After trying to get pregnant for years, we realized that we were meant for adoption. In 2019 we were blessed to adopt our daughter, Leila, and feel that adoption is truly the greatest gift. We’re a fun-loving, silly, and caring family of three and are excited to welcome another child, or children, into our family! We love visiting the zoo, spending the day at the lake, taking vacations to Colorado and California, and getting together with friends and family; and we look forward to continuing all of this and more with your child!
We have been together for over 11 years. We were both raised in Colorado and moved to Arizona because of Brian’s work. Brian is a controller at a company he has grown with and truly loves. MaryAnne was a teacher before she became a stay-at-home mom. We love trying new things together as a family and enjoy any excuse for the whole extended family to get together! Whether it’s going to the zoo, taking a drive to California, or simply going on walks as a family, we’re happiest when we’re together. We are excited to welcome your child into our family and share with them our love of exploring.
Brian is someone I truly admire. He’s a strong, honest, and hardworking man. From enlisting in the Army, going back to school, and starting his career right after college, it is no wonder why I fell in love with him. Brian is someone who is constantly trying to better himself. He wants what’s best for everyone and always goes above and beyond. Brian loves watching sports and is always reading. He is a child at heart so watching him become a father has been one of my greatest joys. He is a super involved, funny dad who absolutely adores our daughter. He can’t wait to have another child in the house!
MaryAnne is incredibly enthusiastic and outgoing. She makes friends everywhere she goes. She makes people around her feel comfortable and safe. She’s incredibly loyal and caring and is always happy to lend a helping hand. She loves being with friends and family, studying Spanish, going swimming, and hosting game night. After seeing her as a mother, it’s clear this is what she was meant to do. As a mother, she seems to always know exactly what to do and it all comes so naturally to her. She’s so creative and is constantly trying to find new ways to keep our daughter smiling! She’s thrilled to share her love with another child.
Our daughter Leilani (Leila) is a very happy, easy-going little girl. She is absolutely infatuated with other babies and children and adores dogs. She was adopted into our family in 2019 and we have been truly blessed by it. We have an open adoption with her birth family – all the more people to love her! Leila loves her swim lessons, books, and learning sign language.
We are both incredibly close to our families. Brian has a younger sister, and MaryAnne has an older brother and younger sister. Family is incredibly important to both of us. Not only do our families have a huge role in our lives but so do our friends! We both come from Christian families. MaryAnne grew up going to church regularly with her family and Brian became particularly spiritual once we were married. Our faith and family are both very important to us and we look forward to sharing them with our children!
We love our new home!! It is a spacious 4 bedroom house with a wonderful backyard! It’s a beautiful family neighborhood with neighborhood pools we can go to. We have a park across the street and nearby lakes to walk around. Our home provides plenty of space for friends and family to gatherand our own family to grow.
We promise to provide a loving and nurturing environment for your child (or children). Every day, we’ll instill the morals and values we’ve learned growing up. Your child will know the importance of family and how special it is. We’ll pass down the traditions of our families such as card games, cheesy jokes, and family get-togethers. We promise to encourage them and to support them in all that they do. We promise to attend soccer games and band recitals and cheer them on as they go after their dreams. We promise to keep in touch through letters and pictures, or regular visits. Most of all, we promise to love your child unconditionally.

Our Special Interests
We love being active, enjoy playing soccer and attending games whenever we can. Additionally, we both love to read and hope to instill this same love for reading in our daughter and next child. Traveling is also a favorite pastime. Whether it's driving to the beaches of California, taking a trip to the mountains of Arizona with our dogs, or flying to another state to visit friends and family, we love any excuse to visit places and experience new adventures!
We are a Christian household in which God plays an important role in our lives. MaryAnne grew up attending church regularly and Brian really found his faith after they got married. We believe that God has a plan for each of us and that it is all in His timing. We feel it's important to pass on the morals and values to our children as well as provide a good community for our family.
Our Musical Interest
MaryAnne loves music of a variety of genres of music from country, pop to Spanish. Her all-time favorite singer is Ed Sheeran. She really is just happy when she can either dance to some music or sing along.
Brian listens to whatever MaryAnne listens to as he is usually found listening to podcasts when he is on his own. However, his favorite band is Mumford and Sons.
About Our Home
We recently moved into our brand new home. For us, it was important that there was room for our family to grow, family and friends to visit, and plenty of room for toys and books, and room for people to gather. We live in a beautiful 4 bed 3 bath house with a front porch and a great backyard for entertainment and for the dogs to run around.
Our Daughter Leilani (Leila) was adopted when she was 6 months old in 2019. We have an open adoption with her bio family in which we share pictures, FaceTime with each other, send gifts, and have visits. We want Leila to know how special adoption is, how loved she is and how she became part of our family. Leila is a very happy easy-going baby who is infatuated with other children and loves dogs. She loves books, bath time, and gets extremely excited when she uses her sign language successfully. We know she will be a wonderful big sister and look forward to seeing her bond with her sibling!
We live in the state of Arizona
Although we are Colorado natives, we love Arizona (something MaryAnne never thought she would say). During the summer when it's really hot, we take weekend trips to the mountains, visit family in Colorado, drive to the beach, and play in the pool. When the temperatures cool off we go to the zoo (we have an annual pass), go for hikes, and play with our neighborhood friends. The other great thing about living in Arizona is that our family and friends love to visit frequently to escape the cold.
Of all the places we have lived in, this neighborhood, by far, is our favorite. All of our best friends live in our neighborhood. Furthermore, it is incredibly family-friendly and there are always kids around to play with at the park that is right across the street from us. Our next-door neighbors have become great friends and love passing cute clothes and toys down to Leila. Throughout the neighborhood development, there are multiple parks, basketball courts, tennis courts, two residents clubs with pools, restaurants, and gym facilities, and two beautiful lakes that we love to go on walks around.
